Ham Common Day

12 March was a day of dedication on Ham Common.

The new regional kiddy's playground was opened with hundreds of local kids to enjoy the fun.

   

Hawkesbury City Council, with support from the State Government, provided this extensive, well equipped play facility for the children of the Hawkesbury.

   

Playing is thirsty work.

   

The ever popular 'Fat Albert' with a new coat of paint and runway.

   

The catafalque party stand at the ready by the RAAF monument to RAAF Richmond, waiting to take their place by the new memorial to the men and woman who have  tragically lost their lives in the service of their country whilst serving at RAAF Richmond.

   

Air Commodore Stan Clark explains the history and purpose of the RAAF memorial in Ham Common while Wing Commander Wayne Knight, the current Base Commander RAAF Richmond, and the guard of Honour stand guard.
